The Private Beach

I wasn’t sure about posting another beach shot, especially after the great response to the two previous posts I thought it might be too much. At the moment though I don’t have much else so here you go.

These wood structures are called groynes and they are supposed to stop the beach from washing away. On this beach at Ventnor they were so close to one end they created this little secluded area and judging my the footprints quite a few people must have been there during the morning.

Update: Today I’m pleased to be guest photoblogging at Jem Lambert’s brilliant shutterjunkie.co.uk. So if you can’t get enough of my self-important waffle here then go visit her site. Oh, there are some good photographs as well.
