37 Wigmore Street

This was taken the same day as yesterday’s shot, you can probably recognise the sky. The building is at 27-37 Wigmore Street and I know very little about it, other than it looked very gorgeous in the fading afternoon light.

Update: If you’re interested, this grade II listed department store, built at the turn of the century, was restored to its original Edwardian style, providing offices shops and luxury apartments. Parts of the first, second and third floors were carefully refurbished to harmonise with the aesthetic values of the period. whilst incorporating current technology in the services design, a spacious working environment was created, to provide an efficient and flexible office environment.

The cupola was rebuilt in glass fibre to its original design, the entire west elevation was sympathetically designed to integrate with the front elevation, with its Edwardian – style canopy overhanging the main entrance. The ground floor reception space, together with the landing areas to first floor and basement, was fully restored. The Edwardian lift-cars which service the offices have been restored to their original specification.
