This is the County Hall Island Block in London and demolition work has just started to tear it to the ground. It’s been sitting empty gathering graffiti (and god knows what else) for the last twenty years and it’s going to be replaced with a £300m luxury hotel. You can read more about it here.
I have another picture I may post tomorrow which will give you a better idea of why it’s considered so ugly. Although, there were no cranes working at the time as I went too late in the day. So I might wait until more of it has been ripped away and go back to get a better shot.
