Well, I’ve had a few days off although not completely away from the camera. It literally does go everywhere with me. But I didn’t manage to capture anything I was that happy with so I decided to go through some archive shots I’d put by as possibles and this is one of them.
It was taken some time ago and has undergone a pretty heavy amount of processing to achieve this look. I also had a few tips from djn [chromasia] – I don’t think the man ever sleeps.
“Dodging and burning are steps to take care of mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships.”
Ansel Adams
And I do sleep, just not often enough or long enough
Welcome back.
Welcome back to your wonderful pictures.
Beautiful shot. I love the softness of this image, and the great use of light and shade.
I wish someone would take a beautiful picture like that of me.
Beautiful face and photograph!
Very good portrait, soft image!!
Lovely potrait, superb tone!
Great picture. It’s soft and sharp at the same time
I just love how the black backgroud blends with her hear. Nice job.
gorgeous
Fabulous photo. I love your post-processing choices. Really amazing. I particularly love the softness you’ve achieved throughout the photo.
way cool!!!
Excellent portrait. I’m not a big fan of portraits because more often than not they are executed poorly. The composition of this one and it’s wonderful tones make it superb. Would you mind posting the original photo so that we can see how much post-processing you did?
Good to have you back! And especially with such an excellent photograph!
very good portrait, something I’d like to do myself.
Now THIS is what I call a great photograph!
Ahhhhhhh. Blissfull image!
WOW. I really mean WOW.
