Ok, so I know this isn’t very relevant for Valentine’s, but there you go, you can’t have everything. This was taken at Brighton beach over the weekend and as before I have no idea what this is. Maybe Michelle can help again.
For the geeks, this is an HDR (High Dynamic Range) image. In RAW conversion I created five bracketed exposures from -2 to +2 then blended them together in Photomatix. I must admit I wasn’t quite sure what I was doing, I just tinkered with the tone mapping to get it to look good. I’m quite pleased with the result, but I think it’s something I may start trying more of. Photoshop CS2 allows you to do this, but I think you have to bracket the images in camera as it works off the EXIF data.
